It was time for a brand new week of The Hobbies Challenge, so we hung up our fishing rods and sat down to draw our next challenge.
We were super nervous that we would draw another challenging hobby but out came True Crime Podcasts (and weren’t we relieved!).
Neither of us have ever listened to True Crime Podcasts so we were excited to see what the hype was about.
I listened to an episode of Dateline whilst I drove home after work. I normally listen to podcasts on my car trips but they are definitely more light hearted and fun (this was quite the change for me 😅). That being said, I did surprisingly enjoy the episode, it kept me on my toes and intrigued me the whole way.
Alanah on the other hand listened to an episode of Who Killed JFK. We played the episode on the speaker at work as it was a bit tricky to fit in whilst having children at home. And, I’m not gonna lie, we didn’t make it through the whole episode 😅.
We then took what we had just listened to and word dumped into our Storylines Friend. This notebook was perfect as we could record important details about the episode including the title, author, length, format and genre. There are then bigger sections to note on the synopsis, themes, quotes and a spot to make a review about the episode (which is so helpful to find your favourite episodes to recommend to people!).
So for us, True Crime Podcasts definitely weren’t our favourite but we are still very glad that we gave it a crack!
